Trusting Your Inner Guidance (or GPS)

Each of us has a GPS we can use. I looked up ‘GPS’ and found this : ‘GPS (or Global Positioning System) helps you get where you are going, from point A to point B’. In other words, one’s GPS could be thought of as a source of guidance providing direction. I think this definition can also be applied to the idea of intuition, which also provides direction. How, you might ask, does one connect with and tap into their intuition or inner guidance? Well Meditation is one way. (as many of my posts talk mention). There is more to this, however. Intuition is simply trusting that the inner guidance you are receiving is dependable. Meditation is one of many ways to do this.

Someone recently asked me how to tell the difference between intuition and ego. In other words, they wanted to know whether a goal they had was something their intuition was guiding them towards, or just something they really wanted. Actually it could be both. To me intuition is a quiet, knowing which comes on its own. While ego, is that part which feels like some kind of action must be taken.

Does that mean we have to follow every message or bit of guidance we get? No. it simply means we are being given another tool to get from point A to point B. Ultimately, it is still up to each of us to decide what action to take in any situation. Trust yourself for in doing so you are always guided and directed.
