Trusting Spirit

As I was rushing around, getting ready for choir practice this morning, I was trying to decide what to wear. Reaching for a lovely olive green jacket, I was stopped by a message from my guides. ‘Wear this instead’, was the message. ‘This’ turned out to be a turquoise sweater which wasn’t nearly as pretty as the jacted, but would work ok. Acting in accord with my intention to listen more, I decided to wear the sweater. Because it was still pretty early, my friend and I stopped for coffee. As I was entering the coffee shop, I noticed a German Shepherd and a couple people at a nearby table. Being an animal lover, I approached the tail wagging dog. As I reached to pet him, my gesture was met by his jaws clamping on my left arm. It hurt, and the skin was slightly bruised. The only thing which saved the bite from being more serious was the heavy turquoise sweater which I had been guided to wear. Had I not listened, and worn the thinner jacket I originally selected, things could have been a lot worse. I have no idea why the dog bit me. (perhaps he smelled my cat on me). That isn’t the point. The point is that I listened, and I wasn’t hurt. I am seeing more and more each day, that trusting Spirit can be a tremendous source of guidance and protection.
