The I-Ching (or oracle of changes) compares the Superior man and the Inferior Man as parts of our personality. The Superior Man represents the highest potential expression of good elements of ourselves and is aligned with our Spiritual Nature. The Inferior Man, on the other hand, symbolizes the lower more materialistic aspect of each of us. By cultivating the Superior parts of ourselves, we are able to gain mastery over those aspects which create disharmony in our lives.
