Meditation is one way of doing this. Much has been written about meditation (here and elsewhere). However, it bears repeating. When one meditates they connect with their higher self and are able to ignore the daily annoyances which plague almost everyone at some time or another. Anyway, there is no specific way of meditating, it just requires quieting the mind for at least 15 minutes daily.
