How To Manifest

It is said that the mind cannot tell the difference between what it is thinking and what is happening. For this reason, I find it incredibly helpful to keep my mind focused on what I intend to create rather than what I want to avoid.
Did you know the mind does not recognize negatives? For example, when you say, ‘I DON’T want (rather than ‘I want to avoid’. The conscious mind doesn’t hear the word ‘DON’T’. For this reason, I try to always remain very aware of my thoughts and words. If I want to avoid something, I will use the words ‘I want to avoid’, (rather than ‘I don’t want’.) So, when I counsel folks, I always listen to how they are wording their thoughts. When I catch them dwelling on negatives, I try to get them to change the verbiage.
Another thing to remember is that thoughts are things, for it is through ones’ thoughts that their reality is created. Therefore, it is important, almost necessary in fact, to keep your mind and thoughts focused on what you want, rather than what you don’t want. According to Abraham Hicks, the secret to manifesting one’s goals, (in a nutshell) is to allow yourself to feel what you want, rather than just think of it. When one allows themselves to experience the feelings their desires create, the Universe, matches them with actual manifestation of their goals.
In other words, allowing oneself to feel their desires, creates the opportunity or space for them to manifest what they want.
For this reason, I believe meditation, which quiets the mental chatter, and allows one to be open to Spirit – the source of all Manifestation- is a great place to start.
I will continue to write more about this in future blogs, but wanted to put this out there, because it has the potential to be so positive and effective as a tool to help one manifest what they want.
