A Painful Fall

A Painful Fall

I think Oprah said it best. When the Universe wants to teach you something, first it gives you a tap on the shoulder. If this doesn’t work, it hits you with a brick. If the brick doesn’t get your attention, they’ll drop a door on you. And then if none of these are effective, it’ll be the whole darn building. Well on February 1st, the universe decided I needed a lesson.

I was walking home from Cats Eye  Crystals, where I do Friday readings, and I slipped on some stones and broke my right arm. Talk about pain! On the bright side, I broke my right arm and I’m left-handed. So I was still able to get around relatively easily. It was also a very clean break – no surgery or heavy casts needed. The pain gets less and less every day and I’m able to do more and more each day OK just saying I’m grateful is an understatement

So I’m learning to become more independent and more self-sufficient not to take things personally. At least for now. All in all I’m learning that everything works out for the highest good. It’s just allowing ourselves to get out of the way so that we can experience this.
